Death toll in South Korea's MERS outbreak rises to 31

エボラの次はMERSですか。。。

病原菌の流行は "outbreak" (=疫病などの大流行) といいます。むかし同じ題名の映画がありましたね、皆さんは知らないと思いますが。

death toll = 死者数。toll [toul]...二重母音です、気をつけて... 橋とか高速道路の通行料という意味もあります。ETC = electronic toll collection system です。高速の料金所は "toll gate". 

Two more South Korean patients have died from MERS and another patient has contracted the virus, the country's health ministry said Friday.

die from = ~で死ぬ、patient = 患者、contract = (他動) 病気にかかる... 「契約」はcontract、名前動後です。virus = ウィルス、health ministry = 保健省 / 厚生省。
